Ten Little Dresses
Ten little dresses for ten little girls. That’s what my new friend Mary decided to do. She had read recently in the local paper about our little ones at Caroline’s House and in our village of Fon-De-Nèg Haiti. Mary is clearly a talented seamstress but more than this she has a loving heart, and that heart was touched by the story of these precious little ones in such a difficult situation. She decided to put her talents to work on ten little dresses for ten little girls. “Every little girl should have a beautiful dress to twirl around in and to feel beautiful”. I’m sure Mary was thinking back to her own childhood when she said that. How blessed we are to have friends like Mary supporting our efforts at Caroline’s House. Many have helped, and in so many ways, and many, like Mary have given from their heart. Giving of their resources but also giving of themselves. And today Mary’s thoughtful gift, a gift from her heart and from her own hands, has touched the hearts and souls of ten beautiful little girls in ten beautiful little dresses.
