Life at Caroline's House!
A little girl came by Caroline's House today, she is about 7 years old. I don't know much about her, though I have seen her in our neighborhood a number of times before. I didn't know her name but clearly, she knew mine.
She turned her little face to mine and in a soft and saddened voice I heard "Papa Steve um. Mwen grangou" meaning "I’m hungry".
I held her in my arms as I considered how she came to be here with us today. Had she come on her own knowing she could find a meal. Had her parents sent her, unable to feed her themselves, I do not know and I guess it matters very little.
I have always believed we are called to serve the ones he puts in our path. And here she is, Gods very own creation, dirty and unkept, very small and quite timid, but precious and priceless is his sight. How could I see her any differently?
How blessed we are to be able to provide for her.
As I looked into her eyes her little face lit up with a large piece of bread in one hand and a glass of cold water in the other. Her little bare feet where bruised and scarred and her little outfit was dirty and torn.
So now I ask for your help. Would you please help us gather nicely used children's shoes and clothing for so many in need in Haiti?
We continue to have opportunities to ship these needed items on a
